How to Build Future Conference Rooms:Reference to ASEAN Big Data Laboratory Solutions

Recently,  “The Belt and Road ASEAN Big Data Laboratory ”has completed the construction of an intelligent information system. Its high standard, modern system and design make the laboratory become a reference for future conference room design.



With the goal of building a new type of University think tank with Chinese characteristics, “The Belt and Road ASEAN Big Data Laboratory” is committed to the research on cooperative development and innovation of major issues such as politics, economy, national defense and diplomacy in China- ASEAN field.


Future-oriented design

 Relying on the integrated platform of "Distributed" and "A/V Software Management" and "One-stop" platform of big data, the lab coordinate all business functions and organizations, build multi-form data acquisition, sharing with the platform and big data display, realize data fusion and office space fusion with the thought of "integration", and integrate Video,Audio, IP. KVM and H5 big data display and other modern multimedia technology means,to become a big data center, decision-making center and conference center with a sense of knowing, which can meet the requirements of scientific research projects, achievements display and conferences of One Belt And One Road comprehensive data, and realize centralized and distributed (multi-district and multi-domain) collaborative scientific research, international conferences, report discussion conferences and so on.



Spatial Layout and System Deployment of "Room 1 + Multi-Domain"


From the point of space function, the lab can be divided into "Rostrum area"and "Scientific research area" and other areas. Different regions are independent and integrated.


Rostrum area


The rostrum area is located in the front of the lab, with the rostrum in the middle and the report desk on both sides. The back wall of the rostrum is a 12.6m*3.6m super-large and super-high resolution projection display wall with 8K resolution, which satisfies the big data visualization display, decision-making command, meeting report, etc. A set of 3.2m * 1.8m redisplay screen is set on the wall opposite the rostrum for meeting and report mode re-display.



The large-screen display adopts the display system of "projector + optical high-light screen" which is not affected by ambient light. It not only has high color saturation like LED, but also can be used for a long time without any bad points. It also avoids the damage to human eyes caused by the active bright light of LED. It is suitable for long-term scientific conference, energy saving and green environmental protection.


Scientific research area


The scientific research area adopts the flat structure, dividing the functional area into zones, and arranging the structure of "centralized" in the middle and "mobile" around it.


The middle area is the decision-making area. It adopts the "star" layout design and sets up 19 seats. It arranges tables around the functions of "Collection", "Editing" and "Publication" of data. Each seat is equipped with a set of LCD lifting system and embedded microphone acquisition. Lift the LCD, they work together; drop the LCD , they discuss decision-making.


In the left, right and back three areas outside the central "star" area,there are 10 zones ,each partition uses a 100-inch ultra-short focus projection large screen system. Wireless and wired signal access can meet the needs of independent research and meetings in the zones, and can also be arbitrarily transferred to any large screen and platform.





The lab adopts a set of unified dispatching management software of "A/V Management Platform". Through multi-client, independent and centralized signal dispatching in roles, authority, the unified signal management of A/V system is realized. The client of the software platform has the customizability ability of PC and mobile. The biggest difference between the software and the central control system is that the concept of equipment management has been upgraded to the concept of user scenario management, that is "User Client".



The image presentation of 8K projection fusion main screen, 10 area partition screens and 8K LCD rear-display screen in the lab meets the needs of interconnection and interoperability, as well as the data visualization presentation of large data software platform in the future, seamless docking of rendering packaging engine and GIS engine. Projection fusion processor has input and output of any channel, and supports image format and processing ability of resolution 4096*2160. It also has output ability of arbitrary channel fusion and abnormal resolution.


Signal  Processing System


The system is designed with decentralized architecture. The interconnection of signals must be realized by distributed pixel lossless coding and decoding. Audio signals must be processed and routed by digital network.
