Wincomn participates in the creation of the panoramic immersive show 'Thus I have heard from Buddha'
Recently, an immersive performance showcasing traditional culture and Buddhist Zen through modern technology has officially kicked off amidst widespread anticipation.
The panoramic immersive performance show "Thus I have heard from Buddha" is located on the third floor of the International Intangible Cultural Heritage Center in Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, Sanya. It is based on the "Lotus Sutra" and uses advanced digital light and shadow technology, dance art, lighting effects, and sound engineering to create vivid character images. It combines traditional Chinese aesthetics with Buddhist wisdom to tell the audience stories about the meaning of life and personal growth through immersive experiences.
Wincomn was responsible for the multimedia system construction of the project, including projection system design, LED system construction, sound reinforcement system, broadcasting control system, lighting system, special effects system, Weiya system, stage machinery system, monitoring system, main control system, strong and weak electrical installation system, and public broadcasting system integration.
The show is divided into three rehearsal areas and one core performance area.
The Rehearsal Areas
The three rehearsal areas are "Lotus Secret Realm", "Bodhi Tree Under", and "Cloud Sea Mountain Range". Through 360 degree panoramic projection, surround sound effects, and dynamic light and shadow art, these three areas construct a Zen space that interweaves reality and virtuality. Wincomn participated in the artistic modeling projection, LED system construction, sound reinforcement system construction, and video display systems of the three rehearsal areas.

Immersed in these scenes, the audience will experience the visual impact brought by the fusion of Buddhist aesthetics and Eastern aesthetics, and follow the narrative of sound and painting and the performance of characters to comprehend the wisdom and philosophy in Buddhist classics, experiencing a deep immersion journey from senses to soul.

The Core Performance Area
The main performance is held in a circular theater with a diameter of 40 meters.
Starting with the performance of three actors, each representing the three thoughts of greed, anger, and ignorance, they take turns on stage to engage in a soul cleansing dialogue with a Buddha statue in the void. Through the real past of three ordinary people in the mortal world, combined with digital light and shadow technology, dance art, lighting effects, sound engineering, and technological art, they narrate the wisdom of human cultivation in Buddhist culture.
When the actors perform, more than 200 viewers follow the mechanical gimbal up and down, crossing mountains, seas, and time, allowing the audience to experience the "illusion" of space folding and time and space interweaving. They can personally experience the ups and downs and changes of the actors' inner world, breathe with the plot, and share the fate with the actors.

The theater is equipped with 360 degree hyperbolic sound screens, stage design walls, and 360 degree lifting screens, as well as props such as high-altitude Weiya, to assist actors in their performances. The 360 degree rotating audience seating area located in the middle has a diameter of 18 meters and can accommodate more than 200 spectators. It can rotate in both directions to help the audience more intuitively feel the atmosphere of the performance and immerse themselves in the plot.
Wincomn carried out system integration work for the projection system, lighting system, sound reinforcement system, broadcasting control system, special effects system, Weiya system, stage machinery system, and monitoring system in the main theater area. Through more than ten 40000 lumens three color laser 4K projectors and 20000 lumens laser projectors, hyperbolic opening and closing screens, stage lighting, and other special effects devices, a ethereal and mysterious stage atmosphere is created together.
As the plot progresses, at the climax, hundreds of dynamic Buddha statues descending from the sky are displayed and circulated in front of the audience through holographic imaging. The deep resonance like chanting of Buddhist scriptures transmitted by spatial sound field technology reaches the audience's heavenly spirit, presenting a perfect performance full of visual effects and spiritual tremors in front of the audience.
Through diversified character portrayal, delicate plot and story creation, and authentic portrayal of the world's sentient beings that can resonate deeply with the audience, coupled with superb performances by the actors, 'Thus I have heard from Buddha' brings the audience a memorable and meaningful performance, allowing people to embark on an unforgettable journey of understanding Buddhism and aesthetics.
Through this stunning panoramic immersive Zen show, traditional Buddhist culture, and the integration of cutting-edge scientific technologies such as character interpretation, holographic projection, sound field technology, Weiya special effects, and rotating audience seats, can enable the audience to fully understand the mysteries and profundity of Buddhist wisdom in terms of visual, auditory, and inner senses. In the interweaving of reality and virtuality, traditional culture collides with modern thought in an interesting way, and Eastern aesthetic culture is also revitalized with the help of modern technology.
