In July, the first coastal scene performance show in China, 'Fishery City' , jointly produced by Ningbo Performing Arts Group and Xiangshan County People's Government, was staged in Shipu Strait Square.
The coastal scene performance show'Fishery City' uses digital technology for immersive performances, telling the true story of the 'whale rescue' that occurred by the Xiangshan seaside in 2022. Through four chapters of 'Mu Ji Shan Hai', 'Yun Zhong Guan Fu', 'All Things in One', and 'Generous Infinity', the story of the coexistence of whales and cities is portrayed in a 'digital tourism+performance' way, creating a landmark coastal scene. Wincomn mainly participated in the construction of the projection system for the immersive performance stage, carrying out projection scheme design, construction debugging, equipment provision and maintenance, and other work.
The performance takes place on an open-air stage surrounded by three pavilions, starting with 'Fisherman casting a net'. Actors gradually enter the stage according to the performance plot, dressed as fishermen and sea maids, holding lanterns and fish baskets, and dancing gracefully on the sparkling and unpredictable sea surface stage. At the same time, the three pavilions are also constantly changing the projection screen in conjunction with the performance, which precisely forms a 360 degree immersive performance space with the central water stage, providing a full scene and full sensory experience.
The exquisite projection special effects and unique stage layout not only extend the actors' performance to more expressive space, making the entire performance more magnificent, but also endow the scene with an ethereal, mysterious, unpredictable, and ocean rich atmosphere, making every audience resonate with the entire performance visually, auditory, and tactile, achieving an unprecedented immersive viewing experience.
Wincomn has carried out projection scheme design and on-site construction debugging for the three pavilions of the performance venue and the sail sculptures on site.
In terms of projection scheme design, in order to ensure that the projection image presents a beautiful effect on the uneven attic, the designer of Wincomn conducted a projection scheme design analysis for the three sided pavilion and determined a projection scheme that is very suitable for the on-site needs. In the projection scheme of the transparent sail sculpture, the portrait overlay method was chosen to present a dreamy projection effect.
In terms of equipment, Wincomn used ten 30000 lumen projectors to complete the projection of the three sided pavilions and sail sculptures on site, and used a media server to output the film content, ensuring that the projection of the attic and sail sculptures can present clear, delicate, vivid and realistic visual effects. At the same time, in order to isolate issues such as coastal moisture and seawater mist erosion, Wincomn has equipped the equipment with a constant temperature box to ensure that the projector is in good condition during performances at the seaside.
From the preliminary projection scheme design to on-site equipment construction and installation, as well as debugging, Wincomn fully cooperated with the project progress to solve various problems and difficulties that appeared on site at any time, ultimately ensuring the success of the project's premiere.
